- You are going to Florida
While Disney world is in Orlando Florida, Disney Land is in Anaheim California. Yes, there is only about a coast to coast difference there so make sure you know that. - Stay at Hotel in the Park
If you can afford to stay inside Walt Disney world at one of their hotels, do it. Time is money when you are at Walt Disney world. And when you pay those you want to make sure you get the full day. Even when the hotels outside the park that are lower and cheaper advertise that they are right at the gate to Walt Disney world you need to remember this. Disney world covers 40 square miles, that is a lot of area. So even from hotels inside the park it can take 45 minutes to get you from the hotel to the magic kingdom. And if you've got to get your car and drive from the hotel outside the park to the parking lot, get a tram to take you to the shows. It's too much time and you know what you don't want to cut in on that valuable making time. - Get an Early Start
Get up early and get in to the park. I know you are on vacation, but you get up early, get into the party before the big crowds hit. Do as much as you can and then head back to your hotel for either a nap or a little time around the swimming pool then you go back to the park when it's a little less crowded also in the evening. That way you get a full day and you see much more. - Don't Forget Sunscreen
Sunscreen is especially important in Florida sun even it is overcast but I do have rules about sunscreen. Let me just say the last thing I want to see is you rubbing sunscreen all over yourself inside the magic kingdom. So this is what you do, you, the kids, the whole family. You get off the hotel, everybody gets their shower, put your sunscreen on then you set to go for the day. You might bring extra tube to dab on your nose or your bald head. - Mom-No Purse
Mother Do not take your purse into the park. Why? Because dad will say "can i put my key and wallet on your purse?" and the kids want you to carry all three different things and nobody wants to be caught dead caring mom's purse around disney world. So this is what you do.
Put everything in the backpack and then everyone takes turn throughout the park caring the pack.
